Property development group, Design Union Limited, has won two international awards at the 2020/21 Africa-Asia Property Awards.
A statement issued by the company on Saturday said the awards were for the design of its Royal Residences (Eden Heights) Tower and Aihie Villa, Victoria Garden City.
The firm’s entry, Aihie Villa, won the Single Residence category in Africa while Royal Residences (Eden Heights) won the Multiple Residence Category in Africa.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Design Union, Anthony Aihie, the concept for Aihie Villa was inspired by traditional Nigerian architecture.
He noted that it was a single family residence for a modern working Nigerian family.
“Both matriarch and patriarch live an active lifestyle and entertain at home quite frequently. The Villa is therefore a modern expression of the traditional living arrangement,” he said.
Aihie added that the Royal Residences (Eden Heights) was a multi-residential edifice capable of meeting the needs of the city’s top executives and expatriates.
According to the statement, the awards were given by International Property Media Limited, publishers of the International Property and Travel Magazine.
