Property firm grooms estate entrepreneurs
- Updated: June 15, 2020

Gtexthub Homes has expressed its commitment to developing real estate entrepreneurs in the country.
The firm stated this while rewarding winners of its pitch competition with cash prizes during its global property brokers’ conference in Lagos.
Maureen Ibe, who was declared the winner won N500,000, while Leonard Mathew and Adeyemo Samuel, who emerged first runner-up and second runner-up, got N300,000 and N200,000 respectively.
The winners were also trained to broaden their knowledge of the real estate business and how to use the prizes given to them to boost their businesses.
The Manager, Gtext Homes, Emmanuel Ikechukwu, said the competition was all about how to sell property and lands.
“We had a training programme for them so they will know how to use the money given to them to do advert, network with the right people because real estate business is a high network business,” he said.
According to him, the firm will continue to encourage young entrepreneurs in the real estate market, and planned to sustain the competition in the future.
The Administrative Manager, Gtext Homes, Vivian Ameachi, said the firm had been organising the competition for over 12 years because it believed in the country, and liked intelligent talents that could develop the sector.
She said, “This is to let people know what we are doing and to help the entrepreneurs out there,” she said.
“There was a task for a pitch competition and from there, we selected the winners. We chose people base on the information they passed out; you have to have an idea of real estate, you have to have an idea of what you are trying to convince us to give you money for.”
According to her, the winner distinguished himself among other competitions, was ready for the task, and was able to provide the excellent answers the firm was looking for.
Ameachi said the competition observed how the contestants could convince people to buy into real estate property.
According to her, about a million people contested and uploaded a one-minute video on the firm’s Instagram, and the contestants were interviewed before the winners were selected.
While assuring the winners of the firm’s support, she said, “If they are lacking in any knowledge, they can always call us and we will always be ready to help them.”
